Saturday, July 6 The Jitney Players present The Streets of New York and She Stoops to Conquer at the High School Auditorium at a matinee at 2:30 oclock and at 8:20 in the evening. Monday, July 8 Circle A of the Methodist church will meet with Mrs. John Wight-man. There will be a quarterly meeting of the Park Row Lutheran congregation. A social meeting will follow featuring a one-act play.

Tuesday, July 9 The Catholic Daughters will have a public card party at the Riviera at 2 oclock. Tickets 35c. PHONE 94 Wednesday, July 3 Rummage Sale for the Benefit of holiday home, Lake Geneva fresh air association. Circle of the Methodist church will have bazaar. Mrs.

Hand and Mrs. VanTuyle will sponsor card party at Hands Corners, at Pell Lake. Thursday, July 4 Circle of the Methodist church will have annual bazaar. Friday, July 5 The Como Ladies Aid will have a Bake sale at the Geneva town hall beginning at 10 oclock. The Belfry Players announce the Jitney Players in The Streets of New York and "She Stops to Conquer" at the high school auditorium, at 8:20 oclock.

The First Lutheran Ladies Aid will i Paul Keller Elkhorn Educator, Economist, Dies Monday Morning Paul G. W. Keller, 59, prominent Wisconsin educator, and recent resident of Elkhorn, died on Monday at the Walworth County hospital after a short illness following a nervous breakdown. Up until two weeks ago, Mr. Keller had written a series of financial arid industrial articles for The Regional News.

Mr. Keller had been superintendent of schools in many Wisconsin towns including New Lisbon, Manitowoc, Appleton and Eau Claire. Up until several months ago he had been doing graduate study at New York university, specializing in studies of modern economic trends. He was born February 22, 1876 at Bernhard, Wis. He was a graduate of Lake Mills high school, Milwaukee State Teachers college and the University of Chicago.

He married Miss Mary Elizabeth Hanson in 1902 at New London. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Helen, Mrs. Kenneth Goodrich, Elkhorn; two sods, John, Elkhorn; and Paul, Montclair, N. two brothers Hugo and Grover of St. Paul, and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon in Elkho and burial in Hazel Ridge cemetery, Elkhorn. Mrs. Frances Pollack Dies in Walworth County Hospital, Monday, July 1 Mrs. Frances Pollack died Monday night at the Walworth county hospital. Mrs.

Pollack was born June 19, 1879 in Poland. In 1898 she was married to Vincent Pollack and came to the United States. They lived in Milwaukee for 22 years before coming to Lake Geneva in 1921. She is survived by her husband three sons, Leo, Oliver and Walter; seven daughters, Leon, Salski, Louise Lewan, Sophie Sobczak, Cele, Rose Julia and Clarice; five grandchildren, three sons-in-law and five sisters. Funeral services was held at St.

Cyril and Methodios church in Milwaukee at 9 oclock Wednesday morning, Rev. B. Celuhowski officiating. Burial was in St. Adalbert cemetery, Milwaukee.

Andrew Hafs Dies In Genoa City Burial Is Wednesday Afternoon Andrew William Hafs died at his home in Genoa City, Sunday, June 30. He is survived by his widow; his son, Oscar; his daughter Mrs. K. G. Bill; two sisters, Mrs.

Amelia Bauman and John Berger; and eight grandchildren. Andrew Hafs was born near Burlington, Wisconsin, September 1, 1865. He was the only son of Herman and Johanna Hafs, When he was only a few years of age his parents moved to a farm which they bought near Powers Lake. They lived there until Mr. Hafs was nine years of age when they bought the farm where Charles Kautz now lives and made that their home.

Mr. Hafs lived there until in 1892 when he and his wife bought Maplewald Farm where his son Oscar, now lives. In 1917 they bought a home in Genoa City where they lived until the time of Mr. Hafs death. Mr.

Hafs was brought up in the Lutheran faith and for many years was a member of the Slades Corners Lutheran church. When he was a boy he attended the district school and parochial school at Slades Corners. On June 12, 1889 he was married to Clara Kohls. Mr. and Mrs.

Hafs were the parents of two children, Oscar and Florence. Last year in 1934 they celebrated their forty-fifth wedding anniversary. During his lifetime, in addition to being a successful farmer, Mr. Hafs took an active part in the affairs of the community life. He was a regular attendant at public worship at the Congregational church and took a prominent part in directing the business affairs of the church.

He was a director and the treasurer of the Geneva Mutual Fire Insurance company and president of the Genoa City cemetery board. While living on his farm in Bloomfield township, he was always associated in some way with the town board. Mr. Hafs was interested in the Walworth county fair of which he had been a director for a number of years. The Bloomfield fair, also owes much to his good help and cooperation.

Funeral services were held at the Genoa City Congregational church on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, at 2 oclock and burial was in the Genoa City cemetery. Claude Delap Dies At The Age of 59 Teams Play Schedule Games in League Race More than 600 persons, including boys and girls from every 4-H club in Walworth county and their parents and friends, attended the annual 4-H picnic held at Booth Lake, near East Troy, Saturday, June 29. This annual event is one of the high lights in the 4-H calendar for the year and furnishes an excellent opportunity for the young people of the county to meet one another and enjoy a real outing. Swimming, boating, ball games and races, including wheelbarrow races, rolling races, backward races, hoppint races and bail throwing contests furnished entertainment during the forenoon. Following the picnic lunclj, a program in which several different clubs took part, was given.

The program was as follows: Singing, America the Beautiful led by Ramona Ganz of the Lyons club. Orchestra selection LaGrange Club orchestra, directed by Jeanne La Fever. Comedy Skit, Blubber, Nigger, Blubber by Leo Lindloff and Jacques Delaney, Darien club. Duet Wilbert and Harold Gilbertson, Sharon club. Poem, Kenneth Bellman, Darien club.

Duet, Betty Ireffinger and Marie Ells, Lake Beulah club. Stunt, Ha la, Linn club. Orchestra selection La Grange club orchestra. Club pledge. Nine kitten ball games were played during the day, the games being counted as part of the inter 4-H club league schedule.

Results of the games were: Class A. Sharon, 13, LaGrange La-Fayette 2, Sharon, Linn, 3, La-Fayette Como 9, La Grange 0. Class Darien 6, LaFayette 7. Class Sharon 3, LaFayette Darien, 6, Como Darien, 6, LaFayette 7. They played base ball and had a weiner roast after the meeting. Como Ladies Aid Bake Sale The Como Ladies Aid will have a bake sale at the Geneva town hall, Friday, July 5, starting at 10 oclock. The regular meeting of the Ladies Aid will be in the hall Friday afternoon. Womans Club Card Party The Womans Club, Wisconsin Federation, will sponsor two public card parties at the Riviera.

The first one will be on July 19 and the second will be August 13. First Lutheran Ladies Aid Mrs. Martha Reinert and Mrs. Louis Rasmussen will be hostesses to the First Lutheran Ladies Aid at the school Friday afternoon of this week. This change is due to the fact that the regular meeting date happens to fall on the fourth.

Missionary and Aid Society Meets Womens Missionary and Aid Society of the English Ev. Lutheran church on Park Row will meet at the church at 2:30 oclock on Thursday. Annual Bazaar Circle of the Methodist church will have their annual bazaar July 3 and 4 in the store formerly occupied by Krogers grocery on Main street. On the opening day of the bazaar the ladies will have a food sale in addition. Celebrated Fourth Birthday Little Mary Margaret Sherman celebrated her fourth birthday anniversary on Thursday, June 27, with fifteen of her friends at her home on Williams street.

Games were played and a picnic lunch was served on the lawn. A huge old-fashioned July 4th celebration is to be held at Lake Como Beach Thursday, with a gigantic fireworks display the feature event. Other events included in the four-day card which will last the entire week-end are a waltz contest, beauty contest, horseshoe pitching contest, races, marble tournament, ball-throwing contest, and a row-boat race. Charles Cutter Marries Audrey McGrath at St. Chrysostoms Church Charles F.

Cutter and Audrey McGrath of Chicago, were married at 4:30 oclock on Friday in St. Chrysostoms church in Chicago. Mr. Cutter is a summer resident of Lake Geneva. He is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Edward Cutter, who have a summer home at Chicago Club on Lake Geneva. Mr. and Mrs. Cutter left at midnight on Friday on the Europa for a months trip abroad.

Upon their return they will live at 153 E. Erie street. Surprise Party Mrs. Harry Yakes and Mrs. George McGhye, gave a surprise party in honor of Mrs.

Laurence Miller at the home of her mother, Mrs. Louis Hawver on Thursday, June 27. There were four tables of 500 played. Mrs. Gene McGhye, Mrs.

Henry West and Mrs. Hattie Cole won the prizes. Refreshments were served. Catholic Daughters Card Party The Catholic Daughters will have a series of three public card parties at the Riviera. The first party will be on Tuesday, July 9 at 2 oclock.

The other parties will be on July 23 and August 6. Claude Mortimer Delap died at his farm home near Whitewater on June 19 at the age of 59 years. He was born in Lake Geneva on December 28, 1875. Mr. Delap was the only son of Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Delap. In 1894 he was married to Amelia! Schultz. He is survived by his wife, six children: Arnold, Henry, Kenneth, Vernon, Milda CeLap Markee, and Mary Jue; his mother, a sister and other relatives. During most of his married life the family lived in Chicago, but he is well known in this community and in Whitewater.

The show will be open from 2 until 9 oclock. Everyone is invited, to the show. There will be no charge. John B. Wightman on Water street. B- Entertains Bridge Club Mrs. Edward Terres entertained her bridge club at her home on Wisconsin street Tuesday evening. Guest Night for Rebekahs at Delavan The Rebekahs of Delavan, had guest night on Wednesday evening June 26.

Those who filled the guest chairs for the evening were: Mrs. Wm, Doty, Mrs. Fred Andres, Mrs. Wm. Voss and Mrs.

George McGhye, Sr. Each one received a gift. Those who attended the meeting who did not fill guest chairs were: Wm. Doty, Fred Andrews, Mrs. Minnie Pasaka and Mrs.

Albertina Stephan. Delicious refreshments were served. Blanche Corcoran Gives Shower Blanche Corcoran gave a shower in honor of Mrs. Robert Bergsma Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Edward Zwiebel on Center street. There were 16 girls at the party and the evening was spent playing cards. Mrs. Frank Bergsma and Mrs. Moscell won the prizes.

Refreshments were served. The table was decorated in blue and yellow with small umbrellas. Mrs. Bergsma received many lovely gifts. Croquignole or Spiral Waves, guar.
