Mrs. Rhea is an earnest Christian woman known by active Christian women in every state in the union, and her name is a familiar household word throughout our laud. It would be well if all in the village could hear her next Sunday evening. On Saturday lost we noticed several people passiug oaj office on the opposite side of the street each one carrying a small square package no attention was paid to it at first, but after an unusual number had passed our curiosity was aroused as to what was the cause, aud a little inquiry informed us that every person was carry ing home a can of those 20 cent oysters from Hands, which are giving such universal satisfaction. 10th at 10:30 o'clock a. and will continue uutil Thursday neon. Prominent men will be present. Considerable effort is being made to make this Institute a success, aud Sunday School workers of all denominations are invited to be present at the meetings. The Washington lee Company have applied for the right to lay their track in the load as usual that they may maze this oue of their points for cutting ice.

The Board granted this right and the Company will without much doubt commence cutting as soon as ice is a foot thick. Their houses are full, hut they intend to ship as they cut, as in the winter they can get cars while during a part of the summer they cannot.
